Apple has opened its Get Ready service for iPhone Duo pre-orders, letting customers pre-select options to streamline ordering ahead of pre-orders that go live on October 16 at 5 a.m. Pacific Time / 8 a.m. Eastern Time and the phone’s launch on October 23.
How iPhone Duo Get Ready works
Get Ready is available on Apple’s online store and in the Apple Store app. It lets you select a preferred color and capacity, confirm your carrier status, choose accessories, pick an AppleCare+ plan, set a trade-in, add a payment method, and save shipping and billing addresses.
The service is designed to speed ordering: when pre-orders open, customers who have completed Get Ready can place an essentially one-tap order. That can be important for the iPhone Duo, as supplies are expected to be limited. There have been multiple reports of production issues leading to supply constraints, and completed Get Ready setups should allow users to submit orders faster.
If you want a better chance of securing a unit on launch day, visit Apple’s website or the Apple Store app and complete the Get Ready process now.
