Is Samsung’s Galaxy S26 series facing a camera stagnation issue?

A recent leak has disclosed the camera specifications for Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S26 series, indicating minimal upgrades across the lineup. The only notable enhancement appears to be on the Galaxy S26 Edge, which is set to receive a boost in its ultrawide camera from 12MP to 50MP. Meanwhile, the base and Ultra models seem to retain the same camera specs as their predecessors, with the Ultra model maintaining its 200MP primary camera and various zoom capabilities. The front camera across the series remains at 12MP, lagging behind competitors like the iPhone 17, which features an 18MP front camera. Despite these stagnant specifications, there are hopes for improvements in aperture and potential software enhancements to revitalize interest in Samsung’s flagship series.
