Atlian raises pre-seed to scale AI platform for construction insurance

Atlian, a London-based company building AI software for the construction insurance sector, has raised a pre-seed round led by Fuel Ventures to accelerate its market launch and further develop its platform. The funding round was completed on October 21, 2026.

Atlian’s funding and investors

The pre-seed round was led by Fuel Ventures. Additional participants include SyndicateRoom’s Access EIS fund, the GI Network and angel investors including Chris Mairs CBE. The financing is intended to support Atlian’s initial commercial rollout in Britain.

Atlian plans to deploy the new capital to support its commercial launch, expand its construction data infrastructure and fund its first senior hire in the role of head of sales. These steps are aimed at accelerating adoption of its AI-driven offering within the construction insurance market.

Founded by James Buckley-Thorp, Atlian provides an AI-driven platform that identifies construction projects at the planning stage and connects them with insurance brokers, replacing manual, document-heavy workflows. The company helps connect insurance brokers with construction projects across Britain.
