Cascade raises $3.5M to help construction firms win more projects

Cascade has raised $3.5 million in seed funding to build a platform that helps architecture, engineering and construction firms find and win projects across fragmented public and private procurement channels. The round was led by Andreessen Horowitz Speedrun, with participation from Ada Ventures and Snowball VC. Launched in 2025, the startup was founded by Hannia Zia and Joana Ferreira.

## A fragmented search for work in construction
Founders say many construction businesses struggle to consistently secure work because opportunities are scattered across dozens of state, city, county and federal portals. Zia calls the current process a “constant treasure hunt,” and Ferreira points to family experience in the industry to illustrate the problem: skilled builders and suppliers often lack the tools and market access needed to sustain a business.
