Charikaty Raises Pre-Seed at €3M Valuation as It Expands Services

Morocco-based legaltech Charikaty has closed a pre-seed funding round at a €3 million valuation, bringing in investors from the UAE, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia as it prepares to broaden its offerings beyond company formation into accounting, compliance and other business services. The company did not disclose the amount raised.

Investors in the round include Dubai-based Red Tape Ventures, Faris Al-Obaid, Vice President and General Manager of Mastercard Kuwait, and Al-Ittihad footballer Faris Abdi, alongside other undisclosed backers.

From incorporation to a lifecycle platform

Charikaty enables entrepreneurs to incorporate SARL, SARL AU, SAS and foreign subsidiaries entirely online, using legalised electronic signatures and fixed upfront pricing, with filings the company says can be completed in as little as three days. Co-Founder and CEO Amr Mouaqit said, “Company creation gave us a very clear place to start, but it also gave us a front-row view of what entrepreneurs need next. The ambition now is larger than the incorporation itself. We want to build around the lifecycle of the company.”

The startup has expanded its services to include statutory modifications, domiciliation, accounting packages, trademark filing and company dissolution. A dedicated diaspora channel allows Moroccans in more than 100 countries to establish companies without travelling, appointing a proxy or attending consular appointments.

New ventures: Webaty and an accounting arm

In September, Charikaty launched Webaty, a website-development venture targeting more than 16 sectors, including e-commerce, construction, consulting, restaurants and short-term rentals; the company says an initial website can be delivered within 72 hours once content is provided. A second venture focused on accounting and compliance is expected to launch later in September, initially tailored to Morocco’s accounting and tax framework — including upcoming electronic invoicing requirements — before expanding into Egypt and GCC markets.

The funding and planned product launches signal Charikaty’s move to extend its services across the full company lifecycle while targeting regional expansion into Egypt and the Gulf Cooperation Council markets.
