Tata Electronics, a key manufacturing partner for Apple in India, recently experienced a cyberattack that led to the leak of confidential Apple documents on the dark web. The breach, attributed to the ransom group World Leaks, resulted in over 200,000 files being exposed, affecting both Apple and Tesla, who are clients of Tata Electronics. Despite the incident, Tata Electronics reported that their operations remain unaffected. The leaked documents reportedly include component designs, specifications, emails, event logs, and personal identification documents of employees. While Apple is investigating the breach, Tata Electronics has not commented on any ransom demands. This breach adds to the challenges faced by Tata, which is also under scrutiny for alleged environmental issues near one of its plants.
