Has Propel People secured $3 million in seed funding?

Propel People, a Westfield Center, Ohio-based AI-driven hiring platform designed for contractors, has successfully raised $3 million in a seed funding round. The round was spearheaded by 1848 Ventures, a venture studio with a focus on AI and SMB SaaS startups, which is committed to driving SMB transformation through strategic investments and acquisitions. Propel People plans to utilize the funding to enhance product development, expand its engineering and go-to-market teams, and penetrate key contractor markets across the U.S. The platform, led by Dexter Bachelder, addresses the skilled labor shortage in the construction industry with its mobile-first, AI-powered tools. It offers features like smart candidate ranking, instant screening, and bilingual SMS engagement, catering specifically to field-based contractors and Spanish-speaking users.
