Has the One UI 8 Watch update expanded to more regions for the Galaxy Watch 5?

Samsung has expanded the rollout of the One UI 8 Watch update for the Galaxy Watch 5, now reaching additional regions, including Europe, for both Wi-Fi and LTE models. The update, which started a week ago, includes the October 2025 security patch and is identified by the DYK4 version number. At 1.8GB, it’s a substantial update, and the installation process might take over 10 minutes, so it’s advised to ensure the watch is charged to at least 50% before starting.

The One UI 8 Watch brings several notable features, such as Now Bar integration, enhanced Double Pinch gestures, new charging animations, and improved notification settings. Users can also enjoy bedtime guidance, mindfulness features, and personalized watch face recommendations. Additionally, there’s the option to create custom tiles and personalize the apps drawer, along with choosing specific calendars to display in the Calendar app on the smartwatch.

For those who haven’t received the update yet, it can be manually installed via the Galaxy Wearable app. Meanwhile, Samsung encourages those considering an upgrade to explore their latest offers and holiday gift ideas.
