Samsung has developed a feature for the Galaxy Watch that aids in managing heat stress for outdoor workers, who face increased risks during summer heat waves. This innovation was created in partnership with South Korea’s Ministry of Employment and Labor and is tailored for businesses utilizing the Galaxy Watch. The system uses environmental data, including temperature, humidity, and biological metrics like heart rate and activity levels, to assess heat stress risks. If the risk is high, notifications are sent to managers, who can then advise workers to rest. For instance, when temperatures exceed 33 degrees Celsius, a heat wave warning prompts managers to send rest advisories to workers’ Galaxy Watches, ensuring their safety and health.
