Apple has listed an unreleased iPad mini Smart Folio on its French regulatory website, suggesting a new iPad mini may be coming. The case appears under model number A3632, which does not match current or past iPad mini Smart Folio model numbers.
Apple appears to have added the listing recently, and the entry sits alongside iPhone 18 Pro accessories that were added in September. The regulatory listing itself does not include any iPad mini specifications.
The presence of a new Smart Folio implies potential design changes for the next iPad mini, since a distinct case model may mean existing cases will not fit the upcoming device.
What the A3632 listing means for the iPad mini
Separately, rumors suggest an iPad mini 8 with an OLED display and a more water-resistant design could be introduced on October 27 or 28 alongside an OLED MacBook Pro. The A3632 Smart Folio could be intended for that rumored OLED iPad mini.
The regulatory entry provides no additional technical details beyond the accessory listing, leaving confirmation of any new iPad mini features to future announcements or leaks.
