Security agencies in Maharashtra have intensified their vigilance following the sighting of a suspicious vessel near the Raigad shoreline, believed to be possibly a Pakistani fishing boat. The vessel was detected by the Indian Navy’s radar system two nautical miles from the Korlai coast near Revdanda. While the boat’s identity and origin remain unconfirmed, initial assessments suggest it may have drifted due to adverse weather conditions. In response, law enforcement, along with maritime security units, have launched a search operation. Raigad Superintendent of Police Anchal Dalal and senior officials are actively monitoring the situation, although adverse weather conditions have complicated efforts. Security has been heightened across the Raigad district, with increased coastal surveillance and additional patrols to ensure public safety. This incident brings back memories of the 2008 Mumbai attacks, where terrorists reached the city by sea.
