Apple has unveiled iOS 27, hinting at the long-rumored foldable “iPhone Ultra.” This new device, similar to Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold, is expected to feature a book-like opening mechanism, offering a large inner screen for enhanced video, gaming, and multitasking experiences. The iOS 27 code includes references to “foldState” and “angleDegrees,” suggesting compatibility with a foldable design. Additionally, Apple has introduced support for dynamically resizable apps, initially targeting iPad and iPhone Mirroring on Mac, potentially paving the way for larger app displays on the foldable iPhone’s expansive screen. iOS 27 is now available in developer beta, with a public beta anticipated in July, and the official release slated for September, coinciding with the expected unveiling of the foldable iPhone alongside the iPhone 18 Pro models.
