iOS 27 introduces a more intelligent and personalized version of Siri, accessible on the iPhone 15 Pro and later models. However, two standout features are reserved for the iPhone 17 Pro, iPhone 17 Pro Max, and iPhone Air. These devices uniquely support customizable expressiveness and pace of Siri’s voice, alongside a significant enhancement in speech-to-text accuracy. This is due to the advanced on-device Apple Intelligence model, which necessitates at least 12GB of RAM. In contrast, the standard iPhone 17 and earlier models, equipped with 8GB of RAM or less, do not accommodate this model. Additionally, these features are available on iPads with the M4 chip or newer and Macs with the M3 chip or newer, provided they have at least 12GB of RAM. iOS 27 is currently in beta and is slated for a September release.
