Ethiopia is preparing to host an international conference on cybersecurity and artificial intelligence in Addis Ababa on June 24–25, 2026. The event aims to boost Africa’s cyber resilience and promote the secure adoption of AI, aligning with the continent’s rapid digital transformation. Organized by the Ethiopian Cybersecurity Association and the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa, the conference will gather policymakers, industry leaders, researchers, and development partners. Discussions will focus on enhancing cyber resilience, data sovereignty, and responsible AI adoption. It will feature participants from government, cybersecurity and AI organizations, academia, and the business community, including national security institutions, ICT ministers, financial and telecommunications sectors, and global cybersecurity vendors. The conference seeks to foster knowledge exchange, share practical cybersecurity experiences, and highlight AI-driven security solutions. As digital transformation accelerates across Africa, the event underscores the critical role of cybersecurity in building trust in the digital future and integrating AI securely and inclusively across sectors.
