Less than three years after its inception, Berlin-based audio startup Mirelo has secured a $41 million seed round led by Andreessen Horowitz and Index Ventures. The company, founded in 2023 by AI researchers and musicians CJ Simon-Gabriel and Florian Wenzel, aims to revolutionize the way audio is integrated into visual content. Mirelo’s platform allows users to generate synchronized sound effects and music for videos in seconds, improving on traditional machine-generated audio. The startup recently launched Mirelo Studio, offering features like text-to-music support and unique audio variants. With a mission to become the audio layer for all visual content, Mirelo plans to empower both amateurs and professionals in the creative industry. Despite stiff competition in the AI audio sector, Mirelo’s innovative technology and significant funding position it well for future growth. The company offers a free tier and subscription plans to cater to a diverse range of users.
