Is Samsung launching the first 2nm chip with the Galaxy S26?

Samsung has unveiled the Exynos 2600, the world’s first 2nm chip, promising to revolutionize smartphone performance. This new processor addresses past criticisms, including efficiency, thermal management, camera quality, and overall performance. Expected to debut with the Galaxy S26, the Exynos 2600 may mark a return to the Exynos/Snapdragon divide in 2026, although its availability outside South Korea remains uncertain. Unlike its predecessors, this chip could outperform Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 due to its advanced 2nm Gate-All-Around process, offering a 39% performance boost. Additionally, the innovative Heat Path Block technology aims to enhance thermal management, similar to a heat sink.
