In March, it was revealed that Samsung is working on a new Fan Edition smartphone, the Galaxy S26 FE, as a successor to the Galaxy S25 FE. Recent leaks indicate that the device might feature the Exynos 2500 chipset. Now, a firmware file for the Galaxy S26 FE has appeared on Samsung’s server for over-the-air updates, bearing the version S741NKSU0AZE5. This suggests that Samsung has begun testing the phone or at least started developing its firmware. The progress signifies that the Galaxy S26 FE is advancing towards its launch. Given that the Galaxy S25 FE was released in September 2025 and Samsung typically updates its models annually, the new phone could potentially be launched in September 2026.
