Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 8 series, which includes the Galaxy Z Fold 8 and the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Wide, was anticipated to advance the foldable display technology by reducing the visibility of the crease seen in its predecessor, the Galaxy Z Fold 7. This expectation was fueled by the competitive landscape, especially from Chinese manufacturers. Traditionally, new Galaxy Z Fold models incorporate key features from the latest Galaxy S series, leading to speculation that the Z Fold 8 series would include the Privacy Display technology from the Galaxy S26 Ultra and support for the S Pen. Contrary to these expectations, recent insights suggest that the crease visibility may not see significant improvement, and the devices might not feature the anticipated Privacy Display or S Pen support.
