Apple is set to introduce the Apple Watch Ultra 4 alongside the Apple Watch Series 12 later this year. This launch will accompany the release of the iPhone 18 Pro, Pro Max, and Apple’s inaugural foldable iPhone. Unlike previous years, Apple appears not to be skipping a year for the Ultra series, with the Ultra 4 expected to feature a complete redesign and enhanced sensing capabilities. While noninvasive blood glucose monitoring is in development, it is not expected to debut this year. Additionally, biometric authentication through Touch ID might be introduced, potentially integrated under the display or within the side button, enhancing security features. Looking ahead, Apple is exploring advanced display technology to improve power efficiency in future models. The anticipated launch of these new devices is slated for September, alongside the latest iPhone models, with watchOS 27 introducing new watch faces, including an updated Modular Ultra face.
