Apple’s forthcoming iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max models are rumored to feature a vapor chamber cooling system, potentially marking a first for the iPhone lineup. This advanced cooling technology, already present in high-end Android devices like Samsung’s Galaxy S25 Ultra, offers superior heat dissipation compared to the graphite sheets traditionally used in iPhones. The system involves a sealed metal chamber with a small amount of liquid that vaporizes when heated, spreading across the chamber to manage temperature. This could prevent overheating during demanding tasks such as gaming by efficiently cooling the anticipated A19 Pro chip. While a leaked image suggests the existence of such a component, its authenticity and connection to the iPhone 17 Pro remain unconfirmed, with the official unveiling expected in September.
