macOS Golden Gate 27.2 Beta Released to Developers

Apple has seeded the macOS Golden Gate 27.2 beta to registered developers, making the next update available for download today — just two days after the launch of macOS Golden Gate 27.0.

Registered developers can obtain the macOS Golden Gate 27.2 beta by opening the System Settings app, clicking General, selecting Software Update, and opting into macOS Golden Gate betas.

macOS Golden Gate 27.2 beta availability and how to install

The beta is distributed through the System Settings > General > Software Update pane once a developer opts into macOS Golden Gate betas. Developers who are enrolled in Apple’s developer program can follow those steps to download and install the 27.2 beta build.

Removed Apple Intelligence features may return in 27.2

Apple removed two Apple Intelligence features from the launch version of macOS Golden Gate but said they would be restored in a future software update. One delayed feature is Suggestions in Messages, which lets the Messages app offer actions based on conversation context — for example, suggesting to insert a requested photo with a tap or to add an invited event to the Calendar app. The other is an Apple Intelligence capability that automatically updates weak and compromised passwords using Safari. It is possible these features will return as soon as the 27.2 release.
