Google has announced its fall hardware lineup centered on the Pixel 11 family, introducing new Pixel smartphones with enhanced AI features, a thinner foldable, a new smartwatch and a tracking tag. The company said the products will launch on August 20 and that several models are available for pre-order now.
Pixel 11 family
The Pixel 11, Pixel 11 Pro and Pixel 11 Pro XL arrive with Google’s 2nm Tensor G6 chip across the range. The Pixel 11 starts at $899, with a 6.3-inch display, 3,000-nit peak brightness, Gorilla Glass Victus 2 cover glass, a 40 percent thinner camera bar, a 48-megapixel wide camera, a 13-megapixel ultrawide camera, and a 10.8-megapixel telephoto camera with up to 30x zoom. It ships with 12GB of RAM and can be pre-ordered now.
The Pixel 11 Pro and Pro XL start at $1,099 and $1,299 respectively and are available for pre-order. They offer 6.3- and 6.8-inch displays with up to 3,600 nits peak brightness, anti-scratch Gorilla Glass Victus 2 cover glass, matte glass backs and the HiLight LED feature. Both Pro models include a 50-megapixel wide camera, a 48-megapixel ultrawide camera, a 48-megapixel telephoto camera with up to 120x zoom, a 42-megapixel front-facing camera and 8K video recording. They support up to 16GB of RAM and run on the Tensor G6 chip.
Pixel 11 Pro Fold
The Pixel 11 Pro Fold is thinner and lighter than the previous model, with a 6.5-inch OLED display when closed and an 8-inch OLED display when open. Google lists the device thickness as 5.1 mm when unfolded and 10.2 mm when closed. The inner display reaches up to 3,600 nits peak brightness and supports a 120Hz refresh rate, with up to 2,000 nits for HDR. Additional hardware highlights include thinner bezels, a glass fiber composite back cover described by Google as “nearly impossible to crack,” a gearless hinge with a larger bend radius and a thicker glass layer for improved durability, and improved crease performance. The fold packs a 4,806 mAh battery, faster charging speeds, the Tensor G6 chip fabricated on a 2nm process, and 16GB of RAM.
Camera hardware on the Pixel 11 Pro Fold comprises a 48-megapixel main sensor (larger than the prior generation), a 10.5-megapixel ultrawide camera and a 10.8-megapixel telephoto camera with up to 30x zoom. The HiLight feature—LED lights around the flash—glows in different colors for incoming calls or when interacting with Gemini. Pricing for the Pixel 11 Pro Fold starts at $1,899, and it can be pre-ordered from the Google Store.
Pixel Watch 5 and Pixel Tag
Google also introduced the Pixel Watch 5, priced from $399, which keeps the round display style and raises brightness to 3,000 nits. The watch adds new watch faces and generative faces, improved GPS route tracking, more accurate sleep tracking, Gemini integrations, personalized strength coaching and context-aware updates on the watch face. Raise to Talk invokes Gemini with core actions performed on-device. The watch gains one-handed gestures for confirming, selecting and sending content, and a breathing emergency detection feature that Google says can detect when the wearer stops breathing and summon help.
Google unveiled a $29 Pixel Tag for item tracking that links to the Google item tracking network and offers a feature set similar to competing tags. Details are available on Google’s product pages.
New software and AI features
Google described a suite of software and AI upgrades under the Gemini Intelligence umbrella. Gemini Intelligence is said to handle more multistep tasks across apps and includes Rambler, a voice input feature that removes filler words and corrects run-on sentences, plus a sign-to-text feature supporting American Sign Language. The company also highlighted location-based insights, contextually relevant suggestions in text conversations and deeper Gemini integrations across devices.
Camera and media features include Magic Capture, which records video with one tap and has the Pixel edit, crop and unblur into a collection of images and video; Camera Looks, which offers selectable capture-time aesthetics (Natural, Shadows or Vanilla); and Circle to Search, which works in the camera viewfinder to circle an object and get AI information. Live Translate is promoted as real-time translation of videos and audio. Health Guardian gains AI monitoring of insulin resistance trends, blood pressure patterns and sleep breathing quality trends.
