Google is preparing its first object tracker, the Pixel Tag, with a leaked render and pricing information indicating a European launch on August 12 and a price of €34.99.
A recently leaked image shows a compact, pill-shaped device similar in appearance to the Galaxy SmartTag 2 but apparently lacking a built-in key ring hole or lanyard eyelet, which would force buyers to purchase a separate protective case to attach it to items.

The leaked render presents a small, pill‑shaped tracker that departs from designs with integrated attachment points. Reported pricing places the Pixel Tag at €34.99 in Europe, and availability is scheduled for August 12.
Competition with AirTag and Galaxy SmartTag 3
The Pixel Tag is expected to compete directly with Apple’s AirTag and Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy SmartTag 3. Both competing products feature Bluetooth and Ultra-Wideband (UWB) connectivity; Samsung’s new SmartTag 3 is said to use a squircle design.
