An analysis of the global DRAM market for Q2 2026 found that Samsung captured a 39% market share, retaining its position as the world’s largest DRAM maker for the third consecutive quarter.
Samsung widened the gap over its closest rival after reclaiming the top position. SK Hynix held a 26% share in Q2 2026, followed by Micron at 25% and CXMT at 7%.

The analysis attributes Samsung’s performance in part to rising prices of general-purpose DRAM during the quarter. It also notes that Samsung expanded its presence in the high-bandwidth memory (HBM) segment in Q2 2026.
