Skopos Bio secures $12m seed to advance radioactive cancer therapy

Skopos Bio, a Melbourne biotech founded by three scientists from the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre, has raised $12 million in seed funding to advance a nuclear‑science‑backed therapy using radioactive molecules for a range of hard-to-treat cancers into human trials. The round was led by Andrew Forrest’s Tenmile, John Wylie’s Tin Alley Ventures and Reed Jobs’ Yosemite.

The investment round drew backing from three venture firms led by some of Australia’s most prominent business figures and the son of Apple founder Steve Jobs. Skopos Bio said the funding will be used to move its radioactive‑molecule cancer treatments from research toward first-in-human studies.
