Apple’s Worldwide Developer Conference has traditionally been the stage for unveiling new features for iPhones and innovations for the iOS operating system. Two years ago, Apple introduced its AI initiative, “Apple Intelligence,” but some features, like “Personal Context,” have yet to reach users. This feature was anticipated to enhance the phone’s understanding of personal information, like retrieving flight details from text messages.
At their recent event in Cupertino, Apple focused on three key areas: improving device performance, expanding trust and safety features, and advancing Apple Intelligence. The trust and safety enhancements include extended parental controls, scheduled app usage, and blocking inappropriate content for children.
The highlight was the introduction of Siri AI, which aims to make the voice assistant more competitive by answering complex, real-world questions and utilizing personal context. Apple emphasized privacy, ensuring that their partnership with Google does not compromise user data security. The new software updates will begin testing immediately, with a broader rollout expected in September.
