What are the new features in visionOS 27?

At Apple’s WWDC 2026, the visionOS 27 beta was unveiled, introducing a host of new features and improvements for the Vision Pro headset. This update includes the integration of Apple Intelligence and Siri AI, allowing users to interact with their surroundings using Visual Intelligence. A new 3D Siri orb enables easy conversations without voice commands. The update also brings curved windows for apps like Safari and Apple TV, enhancing the immersive experience by wrapping content around the user’s field of view. Wi-Fi performance has been significantly improved, offering speeds up to three times faster. Safari now supports 360-degree web environments, creating a more native experience. The redesigned Control Center simplifies access to notifications and settings. New smaller widgets provide flexibility in placing content in virtual spaces. Notifications expand automatically when glanced at, streamlining interactions. Mac users can preview and edit 3D models directly in visionOS. Additionally, a new immersive environment based on Iceland’s Thórsmörk has been added, offering a dramatic virtual backdrop. Developers benefit from new frameworks and tools for creating advanced spatial experiences. The visionOS 27 developer beta is available now, with a full release expected in the fall. Siri AI will initially support English and will be available in the EU from launch.
