With the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max set to launch in a year, early rumors are already circulating about these upcoming devices. While nothing is confirmed, the speculation offers a glimpse into potential features and design changes. The iPhone 18 series is expected to have a slightly smaller Dynamic Island, although under-screen Face ID might not be available until later models. The design will likely remain similar to the iPhone 17 Pro, with a “translucent” MagSafe area and the same rear camera system. A significant upgrade could be the introduction of a variable aperture on the main 48-megapixel Fusion camera, allowing users more control over light and depth of field. Additional enhancements might include the A20 Pro chip with a 2nm process for better performance and a custom-designed C2 modem supporting mmWave 5G in the U.S. A redesigned Camera Control button focusing on pressure sensitivity may also be in the works.
