What emerging technologies will shape the future of business systems?

By 2030, technologies such as generative AI-enabled code architecture, disinformation security, and Earth intelligence are expected to become integral to business systems, according to recent research. Companies are urged to prioritize these innovations to gain a competitive edge. Generative AI is anticipated to revolutionize enterprise applications by allowing dynamic, composable solutions. By 2029, over half of user interactions in business processes may bypass traditional interfaces, leveraging large language models instead. Disinformation security, focusing on threats like deepfake detection and reputation protection, is predicted to be adopted by at least half of enterprises by 2030. Earth intelligence, driven by satellite and AI technologies, is set to monitor global assets and activities, offering valuable insights across industries. Meanwhile, cloud adoption continues to evolve, with rising trends such as AI workloads, multicloud strategies, and digital sovereignty shaping the landscape. Despite these technological advancements, cybersecurity remains a critical concern for CEOs, with 85% recognizing its importance for business growth. However, many executives still grapple with AI’s potential, highlighting a need for upskilling to fully harness its transformative power.
