Apple has unveiled the third iteration of its beta firmware for AirPods Pro 2, AirPods Pro 3, AirPods 4, and AirPods Max 2, currently accessible only to developers. The firmware, identified by the build number 9A5314b, introduces features compatible with iOS 27, iPadOS 27, and macOS Golden Gate. These updates include a revamped AirPods interface, a slider for Adaptive mode, and support for custom EQ settings. Additionally, AirPods now integrate with the enhanced Siri AI. Users with devices running iOS 26, iPadOS 26, or macOS 26 or newer can opt for beta firmware through the AirPods settings. To install the firmware, AirPods must be connected to an Apple device and powered, though the update process may take several hours due to the absence of a direct software update mechanism.
