Will the Galaxy S27 Ultra Feature a Snapdragon Chip?

Samsung’s decision to reintroduce the Exynos chipset in its flagship Galaxy S26 series has sparked speculation about the future of its processor choices. Despite this shift, the Galaxy S26 Ultra retained the Snapdragon processor, fueling rumors that Samsung might eventually transition entirely to Exynos for its Galaxy S series. However, recent hints suggest that next year’s premium model, the Galaxy S27 Ultra, could continue with a Snapdragon chip. Reports indicate that Qualcomm is developing two versions of its upcoming flagship processor: the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 and the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro. The latter, identified as the SM8975, is speculated to be the choice for the Galaxy S27 Ultra. Qualcomm has further fueled these rumors by highlighting its long-standing partnership with Samsung in a recent social media post, suggesting that future Samsung flagships may continue to feature Snapdragon technology. With the Galaxy S27 series expected to be unveiled early next year, the final decision remains to be seen, but current indications point towards another Snapdragon-powered flagship.
