Are 16.2 billion yuan in AI deals expected at Shanghai conference?

The upcoming World Artificial Intelligence Conference in Shanghai is set to open in July with significant achievements already in place. City officials have announced that the event has paved the way for 16.2 billion yuan (approximately US$2.3 billion) in potential cooperation agreements and has advanced 57 crucial AI application scenarios. The conference, spanning four days from July 17 to 20, will coincide with a high-level meeting on global AI governance. This year’s edition promises comprehensive services before, during, and after the event, including a dedicated capital-matching area that will connect over 10 investment institutions with 200 professional investors.
