Galaxy Buds On: do exclusive images reveal a clip-on earbud design?

Samsung appears to be moving closer to the launch of the Galaxy Buds On (also referenced as the Galaxy Buds Able): illustrations pulled from a Samsung app for the first time show a clip-on style earbud design and their charging case, which features a front-facing LED indicator.

Galaxy Buds On: presumed design and operation
The renders depict each earbud as two modules linked by a curved arm intended to sit behind the ear. One rounded module, accented along part of its edge, appears oriented toward the ear canal. The other is flatter and discoid, with a full accent ring around its face — it looks designed to rest behind the ear and help secure the device. The overall architecture clearly suggests a clip-on system that leverages the outer ear’s shape to hold the earbuds in place.

Audio technology: open-ear rather than bone conduction
Earlier rumors had suggested a bone-conduction approach. The illustrations, however, point more toward an open-ear design using air conduction — likely Open Wireless Stereo (OWS) — with outward-facing transducers that direct sound waves into the ear while leaving the ear canal unobstructed. That configuration would prioritize situational awareness (useful for runners and commuters) but may trade off passive isolation and could increase sound leakage compared with in-ear sealed designs.
