Apple is expected to unveil at least five new devices at its annual iPhone-focused September event, with additional products linked to Siri AI possibly arriving later. The slate is centered on premium iPhones, Watch updates, and the potential introduction of new home devices.
iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max
Rumors indicate the iPhone 18 Pro will closely resemble the iPhone 17 Pro but with a smaller Dynamic Island. It is reported to gain a new Wide camera with a variable aperture for greater control over lighting and background blur, a faster A20 Pro chip, and an upgraded LTPO+ OLED display that could improve battery life. Apple may also add a C2 modem and an N2 networking chip. A Dark Cherry color is said to be this year s special option.
The iPhone 18 Pro Max is expected to share the 18 Pro features but in a larger size. Multiple reports suggest the Pro Max will be slightly thicker than recent Pro models to accommodate a larger battery. Both Pro models could be $100 to $200 more expensive than the iPhone 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max, according to the same set of rumors.
Foldable iPhone
Apple s first foldable, often referred to as the “iPhone Ultra” in rumors, is said to offer a 5.5-inch display when closed and a 7.8-inch display when open, with a 4:3 aspect ratio that would make it similar to an iPad mini when unfolded. The design is reported to minimize the visibility of the crease and to use a 2nm A20 chip. The foldable is expected to use dual batteries, have a two-lens rear camera system, and omit the TrueDepth camera system due to thinness, using Touch ID instead of Face ID. Price estimates put the device between $2,000 and $2,500. Some reports cite manufacturing issues and suggest Apple could introduce the device in September but delay its actual launch, similar to Apple s rollout of the iPhone X in 2017.
Apple Watch Series 12 and Apple Watch Ultra 4
The Apple Watch Series 12 is slated to be a modest update with no design changes expected. It could receive a faster S-series chip, improvements to some health and fitness features, and possibly a larger battery for longer runtime. The Apple Watch Ultra 4 is also expected to get the same chip upgrade. One source claimed the Ultra 4 will be thinner and include sensing upgrades, though that source has had accuracy issues in the past.
Other possible launches: home devices and Macs
Apple may hold a second event in October or November for a range of home products, though some of these items could arrive before year end. A new home hub is in development with a 7-inch square display for smart home control, photo viewing, video calls, and information display. The hub is said to include full Siri AI integration, run Apple apps, and could ship as soon as 2026 or as late as early 2027. Apple is also reportedly planning to refresh the Apple TV 4K with a new chip, more RAM, and a new networking chip; update the HomePod mini with a faster chip and new color options; and give the full-size HomePod a new chip. A smart home camera is in development and could launch alongside the home hub.
Other devices under discussion for late 2026 include an OLED iPad mini; a refreshed 14-inch MacBook Pro and an iMac with M6 chips; a high-end OLED MacBook Pro with a touchscreen; a new Mac mini; and a new Mac Studio, though these are considered unlikely to appear at the September iPhone event.
What Apple is not expected to launch
Apple is not expected to release a standard iPhone 18 in September 2026. The iPhone 18, iPhone 18e, and iPhone Air 2 are said to be slated for spring 2027 instead. Apple does not plan to refresh the Apple Watch SE this year.
Likely event dates and schedule
Based on historical timing, the event is most likely to take place on Tuesday, September 8 or Wednesday, September 9, with September 7 falling on Labor Day. If the event is held on September 9, pre-orders would be expected on September 11 or 12, followed by a launch on September 18.
