Could the upcoming iPhone have a bigger battery than the Galaxy S27 Ultra?

Traditionally, Samsung’s Galaxy S series has boasted larger batteries compared to iPhones. However, Apple has been steadily increasing the battery capacities of its devices, and the upcoming iPhone 18 Pro Max might surpass the Galaxy S27 Ultra in this regard. Reports suggest that the eSIM-only version of the iPhone 18 Pro Max will come with a 5,425mAh battery, while the model with a physical SIM card slot will have a slightly smaller 5,235mAh battery. In contrast, the Galaxy S27 Ultra is expected to feature a battery capacity ranging between 5,000mAh and 5,200mAh. This development could mark a significant shift, giving Apple’s flagship device an edge over Samsung’s in terms of battery capacity. Known for its efficient hardware and software integration, the iPhone’s potential increase in battery size could further enhance its battery life advantage over its Galaxy counterparts.
