Did NIO (Shenji) launch the NX9031 chips and platforms at the World AI Conference?

Shenji, NIO’s chip subsidiary, made its first appearance as an independent exhibitor at the World Artificial Intelligence Conference, unveiling its NX9031 chip family, vehicle-domain controllers, and two new software platforms: the embodied AI development platform “Ruidong” and a distributed agents platform.

At the show, Shenji highlighted the NX9031 series — offered in multiple variants — alongside vehicle-focused controllers for embedded compute. The company also showcased two newly announced software products: “Ruidong,” positioned as a development platform for embodied intelligence, and a distributed platform for agents. Together these announcements underline a combined hardware-and-software strategy targeting vehicle and AI applications.

Product portfolio and financing
Founded in June 2025, Anhui Shenji Technology Co., Ltd. reports having raised nearly RMB 3 billion since inception. Its chip portfolio includes models NX9031X, NX9031U and NX9031C. According to the company, the NX9031 family is designed to address three core AI application areas: advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), embodied intelligence, and agent inference.

Targeted application domains
The materials presented emphasize the NX9031 series’ multi-use orientation: ADAS for driving safety and assistance, embodied intelligence for onboard robotic or interactive systems, and agent inference for distributed software architectures. The Ruidong platform and the distributed agents platform are positioned to complement the hardware offering by providing development tools and orchestration capabilities.

Toward an integrated hardware–software offering
By combining chips, controllers and software platforms, Shenji is positioning an integrated solution aimed at growing demand for embedded compute and in-vehicle AI. The World AI Conference disclosures clarify the company’s technical focus, though Shenji did not publicize commercial roadmaps or specific product launch timelines.

Visibility and strategic direction
Shenji’s participation as an independent exhibitor highlights the subsidiary’s rising visibility and establishes the foundation of an offering centered on embedded AI compute and agent platforms — the application domains emphasized by the NX9031 family and the newly announced software tools.
