Did Samsung unintentionally reveal the new Galaxy Glasses?

Samsung has seemingly confirmed its upcoming AI-powered smart glasses, known as Galaxy Glasses, through an update to its Nearby Device Scanning app. This app, integral to the One UI on Galaxy devices, now mentions support for these glasses, hinting at features like Quick Pair and battery level displays akin to Galaxy Buds and Watches. Recent leaks suggest the Galaxy Glasses resemble Ray-Ban’s Wayfarer sunglasses and may include photochromic lenses, a 12MP camera, LED indicators, microphones, speakers, and touch-sensitive controls. Although they likely lack an onboard display, they are expected to run on Android XR with Gemini, enabling functionalities like photo capture, video recording, music playback, and voice-activated assistance. The official unveiling is anticipated at the second Galaxy Unpacked event in July 2026.
