Samsung could raise prices for the Galaxy S26 series in South Korea by KRW 149,600 (≈ $111) for each model starting October 1, a South Korean report says.

The increase would reportedly apply to the Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+ and Galaxy S26 Ultra. The cited new wholesale prices for the 256GB configurations are:
Galaxy S26: KRW 1,254,000 → KRW 1,403,600
Galaxy S26+: KRW 1,452,000 → KRW 1,601,600
Galaxy S26 Ultra: KRW 1,797,400 → KRW 1,947,000

The report attributes the possible rise to higher component costs, noting that memory prices have climbed sharply this year as AI data centers continue to consume large amounts of memory and storage components.
Samsung has not confirmed an actual price increase and said it has not issued any official notice. The company acknowledged it is reviewing pricing because of higher component costs but stressed that nothing has been finalized.
The move would be unusual because it would raise prices well into the phones’ life cycle rather than at launch. It is unclear whether any increase would be applied outside South Korea: in the US the Galaxy S26 line currently starts at $899 for the base model, with the Galaxy S26+ and Galaxy S26 Ultra starting at $1,099 and $1,299 respectively. Tipster Abhishek Yadav also claims Samsung could raise prices for the Galaxy S26 Ultra and Galaxy S26 in India. Whether the reported hikes will reach other markets remains to be seen.
