Samsung is gearing up for its Galaxy Unpacked event on July 22 in London, where it plans to unveil its latest innovations in foldable technology and smartwatches. The event, intriguingly announced on the same day as Google’s Pixel 11 event, promises to showcase a new lineup of foldable devices and watches, potentially including smart glasses.
Samsung is expected to introduce a new, wider Galaxy Z Fold 8 alongside updated versions of the Fold and Flip models. The company has hinted at this new form factor, which is wider and shorter than previous versions, suggesting a shift in design strategy. The classic Z Fold may adopt the Ultra designation, becoming the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra.
In addition to foldables, Samsung is set to launch new smartwatches, including the Galaxy Watch 9 and Galaxy Watch Ultra 2, as well as new earbuds, the Galaxy Buds On. There is also speculation about Samsung revealing its first smart glasses, leveraging Android XR technology, which could be a highlight of the event.
The Unpacked event will be streamed live on Samsung’s YouTube channel and official website, starting at 3:00 PM on July 22, 2026.
