The upcoming Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 is anticipated to introduce significant improvements in both hardware and software compared to its predecessor, which debuted two years ago. Among the enhancements are a more powerful processor and advanced health and fitness features, alongside a notably brighter display. The smartwatch is rumored to boast a 5,000-nit OLED screen, enhancing visibility even in bright conditions, and offering improved durability. The display size, resolution, and pixel density are expected to remain consistent with the previous model, while incorporating Samsung Display’s on-cell film technology. Additionally, the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 is set to offer an IP69K rating for superior dust and water resistance, surpassing the IP68 rating of the earlier version. The smartwatch is likely to be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Wear Elite chip, equipped with an 800mAh battery, and run on Wear OS 7-based One UI 9 Watch software. Samsung is also expected to provide a variety of official watch strap options. Meanwhile, the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra is anticipated to feature an enhanced display with a peak brightness of 3,600 nits, though it may lack certain features such as Privacy Display, S Pen support, and newer OLED emissive materials.
