iOS 27.2 Adds Anniversary Reminders via Call Context

Apple released an iOS 27.2 beta today that adds a feature to remind you it’s your anniversary when you call someone, provided you’ve added the date in the Contacts app.

iOS 27.2: Call Context anniversary reminders

Call Context, a feature Apple introduced in iOS 27, surfaces relevant information from emails and other sources when you place a phone call. For example, if you call an airline and have a flight confirmation in the Mail app, Call Context will show that confirmation number so you do not have to search for it. In iOS 27, Call Context already worked with birthdays and displayed a fireworks animation when placing a call; iOS 27.2 expands Call Context to include anniversaries but does not add a new animation for them.

How to add an anniversary to a contact

The anniversary alert draws its date from the Contacts app. To add an anniversary, open Contacts, select a contact, tap ‘Edit’, then tap ‘add date’ — the first suggestion under date is ‘anniversary’. You can also ask Siri AI to add the anniversary to a person’s contact card if your device supports Apple Intelligence.

iOS 27.2 is currently in beta and is expected to launch in October.
