One UI 9.5 test firmware for the Galaxy A57 has been spotted on Samsung’s servers just one day after One UI 9 was released for the phone in Samsung’s home country.
One UI 9.5 test firmware spotted
Samsung appears to have started work on One UI 9.5 for the Galaxy A57 very quickly. The rapid appearance of a test build follows a slower-than-expected start to the One UI 9 rollout for eligible devices, and suggests Samsung could move to One UI 9.5 sooner than usual.
Last year, the first One UI 8.5 test firmware for the Galaxy A56 was spotted in December, highlighting how early the 9.5 test build has emerged for the A57.
Rollout timing and Galaxy S27
Whether the early test firmware will translate into an official One UI 9.5 release arriving significantly earlier than the 8.5 update did for the A56 remains to be seen. In any case, Samsung will not deliver One UI 9.5 to existing devices before it unveils the Galaxy S27 series next year—customers will have to wait until after that event.
For now, Galaxy A57 owners can look forward to the One UI 9.0 (Android 17) update arriving on their phones: Korean users have already received it, and other markets are expected to follow in the coming days.
