With the release of iOS 27, Apple Wallet will introduce upgraded digital keys at select hotels and resorts, enhancing the user experience for travelers. These improvements will allow users to access detailed trip information, receive updates on booked activities, and utilize available services during their stay. Although Apple has not specified which locations will offer these enhanced keys, Walt Disney World Resort is expected to support the feature by the time iOS 27 launches in September.
Currently, Disney World visitors can add their tickets to Apple Wallet via the My Disney Experience app, enabling seamless entry to parks and ride queues using an iPhone or Apple Watch. With iOS 27, this MagicMobile service will be further enhanced. Users will be able to access comprehensive details such as park reservations, Lightning Lane selections, special events, and dining reservations directly from their MagicMobile pass in the Wallet app. The dynamic nature of these passes ensures that information is automatically updated throughout the day.
Despite these advancements, the My Disney Experience app will still be necessary for making specific reservations and selections. These enhancements aim to make Apple Wallet a more integral tool for Disney World visitors, particularly benefiting those whose itineraries are managed by others in their group.
Additionally, Resorts World Las Vegas, which includes three Hilton-operated hotels, plans to adopt these enhanced Apple Wallet keys with the new iOS update.
